I’ve had the tremendous opportunity to study at great universities in very different countries:
- Mathematical Engineer from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, in Chile.
- Ingénieur Diplômé de l’École Polytechnique, in France.
- Master of Computational and Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University, in the USA.
These were 3 completely different and very enriching experiences.
I currently work as Chief Product Officer at uPlanner, where I actively participate in the development of new products and the direction of strategic projects with Data Science and Machine Learning components. Previously, I carried out various engineering projects related to applied mathematics and numerical implementations at Chilean universities (UTFSM and UCH). As a lecturer, I have taught Mathematics and Computer Science courses, with special emphasis on the use of new learning methodologies such as flipped classroom and problem based learning, and the use of new technologies such as jupyter notebooks + RISE.
I’ve been programming in python since 2008, and I enjoy finding and learning new libraries: I use matplotlib and vizzu for charts, pandas for data manipulation, jupyter notebooks + RISE for collaboration and exploration, streamlit for web projects and quarto for sharing knowledge.
